Moving.

Haha. I'm fickle. I know. But I found a "bloggish" site that is much easier to update. And I like the design better. (Very important factor that is.) So, I'm moving to Tumblr. I hope you will visit me there. (There's not even any comment boxes; so no worries, you can just hit & run!)

All my love,
Tia Nichole

Tadahiro Uesugi [artist]

Tadahiro Uesugi... I have fallen in love with his work. His use of colors and how he has simplified shapes and colors down but it is all still intricately detailed amazes me. But, I can't do it justice, so check out his site, (which is in Japanese) however, there is a button at the bottom of the page that says illustration. Click there and you can look through his work.

Blue Like Jazz [book]

" I never liked jazz music because jazz music doesn't resolve. But I was outside the Bagdad theater in Portland one night when I saw a man playing saxophone. I stood there for fifteen minutes, and he never opened his eyes.
After that I liked jazz music.
Sometimes you have to watch somebody love something before you can love it yourself. It is as if they are showing you the way.
I used to not like God because God didn't resolve. But that was before any of this happened."

So starts Blue Like Jazz by Donald Miller. I love this book, he has so many insightful perspectives about Christian spirituality. It has definitely inspired me and changed my life by reading it. You can read the first chapter, God on a Dirt Road Walking Toward Me.
(The Donald Miller link takes you to his blog, where you can read some of his posts, or check out his books.)

Angie Shope [artist]

I found Angie's artwork on the Red Raven Art Gallery's website. They have other interesting and talented artists, but I was particularly drawn to Angie's bright colors, patterns, and stylization. It makes me smile whenever I see her work. Hope you enjoy looking through her stuff, or perhaps you'll find another artist on Red Raven's website that inspires you.

MADE [blogger]

MADE is one of my favorite blogs for many reasons. She posts often, always has interesting crafts or insights, and her designs are stellar and beautiful. Her photography and captions always make me smile too. You should check out her site, especially if you love handmade crafts that look like they aren't. :]

Pixelgirl [Website]

("Me gusta cuando callas" by Manoli Lopez @ Pixelgirl)

Pixelgirl is an awesome site to browse through if you're looking for unique desktop backgrounds, iPod backgrounds, or icon sets. Her layout is clean and attractive; also most of her content is submitted by artists, so everything is artsy. This is definitely one of my favorite sites.

All for today,
